Valentine's Gift?

Our documents were placed in the judge's hot little hands yesterday. Our translater has an appointment with him next Wednesday to get his comments. If he has no problem with our documents, that should be the day he will issue us a court date. So far, he has been giving 2 week lead times. Which means, our court date could be as early as February 14th, Valentine's Day. That would be the best gift of love we could ever receive.

In and Out

All the documents we were waiting for came in over the Christmas holidays. We got them processed and sent them on their way last week. Soon they should be in Russia getting translated. We hope that the judge will get them soon after he returns from his holiday. We expect that this is it for the paper chase and that we will be getting notification of a court date soon. It is at the court hearing that we will officially be Ruslan Cole's parents. After which we will be able to bring him home at last. So long as the judge doesn't find anything wrong with what we have turned in, we expect to get a court date within a couple weeks from his approval of our documents. This could mean that we will be travelling as early as the 1st week in February. We truly believe that we are in the home stretch. We have quite a bit to do to get ready over the next few weeks, but we are more than ready in our hearts.
